Unlike traditional communication training, Virtus Point Collective blends internationally recognised frameworks, including the PEACE Model of Investigative Interviewing and the FBI’s Behavioural Change Stairway, with real-world lessons from decades on the frontline.

About Shannon Britten

With over 25 years in policing, including just under a decade at the Western Australia Police Academy, Shannon has trained recruits in investigative interviewing, conversation management, and effective communication, while guiding new squads through some of the toughest moments of their careers. She has led high-stakes interviews, taught critical questioning and listening skills, and mentored hundreds of recruits on how to communicate under pressure.

Shannon’s expertise goes beyond law enforcement. She has worked across leadership, training, and community settings, where communication can make or break outcomes. From workplaces navigating difficult conversations, to schools working with students and families, to teams handling conflict under pressure, Shannon understands what’s at stake when dialogue falters.

This dual perspective — as both a career Police Officer and a parent navigating real-world challenges — makes Shannon uniquely placed to help organisations of all kinds. She knows what it feels like on both sides of the conversation.

Shannon founded Virtus Point Collective to bridge that gap. More than theory, her programs provide practical, adaptable tools that help professionals communicate with fairness, clarity, and confidence.

Her mission is simple: to ensure every conversation, no matter how tough, strengthens relationships instead of breaking them.
